Ashridge client story

living the challenge of post-merger integration

"The Prendo simulation gives participants a hands-on experience, and for them to be able to take away the feeling of having managed an acquisition implementation is a really important value add to the seminar."

Ashridge Business School

Ashridge is a leading international business school based in Hertfordshire, England. Founded in 1959, Ashridge works with individuals and organisations from around the world in its three core areas of: executive education, research and consulting.
It is consistently ranked as one of the world's leading business schools.

Ashridge runs a wide range of open executive programmes, including one on the topic of mergers and acquisitions: “Making Successful Acquisitions”. Based around a 10 step process, the course is designed to give participants the knowledge and experience to lead the full spectrum of acquisition activities, including: identifying targets, due diligence, negotiating the deal, financing and integration.

Since 2001, Ashridge has been using Prendo’s Leading Change simulation on the final day of the 3 day course. The simulation gives participants, organised in competing teams, a chance to “live” the challenges of post-merger integration planning - generally regarded as both the most important and also the most difficult ‘step’ in the whole acquisition process.
