Mace has worked with Prendo on four major construction projects: GlaxoSmithKline’s Headquarters in Brentford, London; RBS’s Headquarters in Gogarburn, Edinburgh; Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport; and most recently on the Gateway project at Birmingham New Street station.
 
For each project, Prendo has run a series of half day workshops aimed at the managers from all the various organisations involved: clients, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders. Based around a simulation of managing a complex set of relationships in a major project, the workshops help to instill a “one team” culture and they illustrate the importance of everyone understanding all the different perspectives. The workshops also illustrate the need for effective communication strategies, and the “working together” ethos that this encourages is increasingly regarded as one of the most crucial ingredients for success in major projects.
